Utrecht Open Garden Day (EN)

The eleventh Open Garden Day Utrecht will take place on Saturday 2 July 2022. During this day about 50 beautiful gardens, which normally remain hidden, will open their doors to the public. The Open Garden Day Utrecht is an unique opportunity to visit these gardens.

The gardens
Hidden behind the facades and gates of the historic city center are Utrecht’s city and courtyard gardens: green oases of peace and surprising garden architecture. Every garden has an unique character, whether it concerns large institutional or small private gardens, hidden courtyards and courtyards, gardens with a sober architecture, or gardens with statues and ponds. With a wide variety in design, some gardens have special sculptures and most provide a wonderful view of the surrounding buildings.

A wonderful excursion
The Utrecht Open Garden Day is a full-day excursion. The programme also includes quadrangles of medieval churches, inner courtyards of museums and almshouses and many more locations of historic interest. All the buildings and their gardens are within walking distance, and the programme includes various restaurants and cafés.
